Fiction Novel Category.
Hello family and truthseekers, I wanted to share the great news.
Yes, I have been a slacker on this blog but, I am hoping to hear that all my time is spent writing the series, will get me off the hook? And while I have been rocking the keyboard, on the 31st of July 2020 the AfriCan Authors’ Award ceremony happened. This is an initiative, an absolutely amazing initiative, founded by Anthea Ambursley in 2018. The AfriCan Authors’ Awards, from my understanding, is a platform designed to celebrate African authors. And it doesn’t disappoint as this year there were 100 winners in different categories and from different African countries.
And your girl here, received an award under the fiction novel category, for Anathi: A Lifeless Womb. I am so thankful to all of you who have taken the time to read the book and journey with Anathi and I. I am thankful to all of you who keep reminding me I have two more books in the series to get out LOL! I also want to thank Anthea and her team for taking the time to read the book and see it worthy enough to be counted among this year’s winners.
I am very excited ,this is my first writing award, ever, well except for the A I got in my English creative class, in grade 10 or something like that LOL.
Thank you all and I cannot wait to give you guys Amahle and Ncane and we can wrap the series up and hopefully journey on to other parts of us through other stories.
I hope you are reading, wherever you are and, if you are, drop me a recommendation, ten points if it is an African author, 100 if it is a South African author. Also, if you haven’t already, please check out our new Authors’ Corner page, I will be adding new authors as we go, for now, check out Chronicles of a Fatherless Son by Patrick Neo Mabiletsa.
And yes, I love hearing from you so please keep sending emails and smses, I love reading and engaging with you guys on all this platforms.
